Toad ECU tuning software?

I am looking for ECU tuning software that I can use myself (i.e. I am writing the tune files, not another company) I did a bit of poking around on the internet and I found this ( http://www.totalcardiagnostics.com/toad/) I found this on amazon and ebay as well, however I wanted to know what you all think about this software especially if some of you all have used it.

If there is a better or cheaper ecu tuning software please let me know as well, as well as I am open to any suggestions as to what to do with my car or my channel. Have a great day!
