White smoke coming out from a 4E-FE engine

I recently bought a toyota starlet ( ep-82 ). Its was driven fro 160k kilometers. It was smooth and was working fine, bt now i get white smoke when i turn it on in the morning. This goes away after few minutes when i floor it. Should i worry about this issue?

I check engine oil each day when i first take out the car and it doesn’t get reduced. Any idea on what would be the issue?

Could be coolant getting burned. Does the exhaust smell sweet or like oil?

Yeah.. its either piston rings or a bad coolant feed.

Possibility is coolant I getting into a cylinder or that your running a little rich on startup and since it’s getting colder out the smoke is more visible. If it’s plumes of white smoke or it smells kinda like a sweet perfume or something it’s coolant being burnt

Um.. Does this affect the accellaration?? Like say when i drive with three people, the car is a bit on the down side of its power.

Had a similar thing with a Toyota Corolla 2E engine, turned out to be the head gasket was going

White smoke is a sign for burnt coolant. Check that often. If its missing its probably a broken head gasket.

I actually noticed a reduction of my coolent. From the reserve tank as well. The thing is, the smoke doesnt come allways. It just comes when i first start the car on a rainy or a cool wheather day. It goes away after the heat is reached till half point in the dashbord.

Check antifreeze but they will smoke a little on cold mornings not sure where u live but if not using antifreeze probably just condensation in exhaust, normal, if using antifreeze probably blown head gasket. U say its not using oil so rings should be fine.
