Win The Chance To Design A Toyota GT86 Rally Livery

If you’re 18 or under, still in education and fancy having a go at designing a rally livery for a Toyota GT86, then this is for you – but only if you live in the UK.

Toyota GB and the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB is inviting schoolkids aged 8-18 to get their crayons, pencils, felt tips or even styluses out to create a design that could eventually be turned into a wrap to cover the Japanese firm’s lightweight sports car. Judging by several passages in the press release, we’re thinking that an emphasis on Welsh themes is what they’re looking for.

The competition is divided into four categories for Key Stages 2-5, with one overall winner crowned out of the four category champs. Last year’s overall glory went to 12-year-old Rheinallt Jones from the Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni school in Anglesey, whose design you can see in these pictures. And no, there are no typos there; that’s just how Welsh is.

The four category winners all receive an invitation to the Rally Village in Deeside, Flintshire, where they’ll get a rally-themed goody bag from Performance Clothing and a special behind-the-scenes look at how the World Rally Championship operates.**

If you’re up for the challenge, you can download entry forms and design templates for the ever-controversial GT86, plus the inevitable ‘further details, terms and conditions’ from either STEM Cymru’s or Wales Rally GB’s websites.
