Which Mercedes C63 Sounds Best: 6.2 Or 4.0?

The current C63 may still have a V8, but it's lost just over a couple of litres in displacement and gained a pair of turbochargers compared to its predecessor. So does it sound as good? Listen to the comparison video then cast your vote!

I think the 4-litre sounds as good from the inside, but the 6.3-litre sounds better from the outside.
P.S. Also, I prefer the dashboard on the older c63… The new dials with those ‘carbon-fibre’ stickers look so cheap.

IMHO the 4.0 indeed sounds better inside the car but that’s probably because of stupid audio tricks. If they wanted it to make it sound like a jet engine they probably could.
On all the other clips the 6.3 takes the win, especially the whine of the 4.0 when dropping in revs is awful.

4.0 sounds like a very powerful diesel truck. It’s not bad, but you can’t beat the old 6.2.

The 6.2 N/A will put the 4.0 turbo to shame any day

Although the old one is louder and sounds God like… I have to say in this comparison the new one definitely doesn’t sound bad even with 2 turbos!! Props to AMG for still making it sound epic. Maybe there us some hope for Aston Martins new V12?

I don’t like farting sound at all when changing gears.

Was my first thought as well… Just why are they farting… The VWs do.. This Mercs do… But why? Does anyone like that?
