Has to be the BMW X5 for me.
Looks, power, handling - it has everything.
Handling? Not really.
Why did the SRT do so poorly in the 2nd run, going off the first run, the SRT should have been nipping at the Bimmer’s heels, if not chugging past it using all 6.4L of NA goodness.
(NA totally means North America BTW)
6.4L? N/A though. They ain’t putting that 6.2L S/C HEMI V8 inside yet.

It is about the tires and power delivery the X5 has 335 wide on the rear verses the 295 on the grand Cherokee and while the launch control on the jeep is good it is nothing compared to that of the BMWs. I have had the privilege of driving all 3 of the SUVs on this list and was not in the least bit surprised by the results.
Power isn’t everything. Clarkson probably wouldn’t agree with this one.
Oh wait… it’s a drag race….

Was this necessary? Do people who buy these care? Personally I find new mainstream SUV’s useless.
Even little do they know, but it was close
Would rather have a supercharged Range
an SVR would be an option
