Power gains on a stock m20b25

Wondering how much power could be added by adding a 272 degree cam into the old biemer. The engine currently has just under 370 000km on it. Is it worth upgrading?

What components would you recommend for a rebuild?

Any upgrade does nothing overall without proper tuning. With a cam youll see power without a tune but the way ur car delivers the power will significantly change with a tune. A proper m20b25 with a cam should also run beefier rockers along with a good header. Tune software best bang for your buck would be going to a PNP megasquirt v3 and delete your afm .

Personally I wouldn’t run megasquirt unless you had too. SSSuqid Tuning makes great chips for the stock ECU.

OP hoestly you’re only going to see so much with the stock bottom end. I’d recommend stroking it out to at lest a 2.7 when you do the head work.
