If you want a good laugh, I stumbled upon an alternative method as a little kid. I jacked up our volvo and my dad told me I needed to lower it again to loosen the lug nuts. However, i was ultra stubborn, so instead i jammed my foot under the tire and proceeded to (painfully) remove the lug nuts per usual. Thankfully my foot wasn’t crushed! Lesson: learned.
