Why do most European cars in America have orange in their headlights?

I can’t think any American car (regardless of origin) that doesn’t have orange turn signals. If I had had to guess its a DOT requirement for the blinkers to be orange

Its a legal requirement for side-markers on all vehicles (i think larger than a motorcycle, dont know the exact rule), and its not just for European cars, its just more noticeable because in Europe we dont have them. Equally if you look at any american car in Europe, such as a Jeep Wrangler, you will notice they have orange lights on the side. They remain on whenever the ignition is on, like the day-time LEDs you see on most cars now

Yep it’s a law. Same as Australia and Japan I think too.
