Why did he slam on the gas ffs ? He would’ve been fine ._.

Unfortunately we humans don’t do so hot under stress. He probably felt the Jeep starting to roll over and meant to but the brake but his foot was likely still hovering over the gas pedal. So when he went to slam his foot onto the brake, he hit the throttle instead.

If you are about to roll over, you slam the gas pedal and turn the wheel to the side you are falling towards. This way, instead of rolling down a hill, you simply drive it down.

P.d. the maneuver is just like compensating oversteer in a fwd car.

Tbh usually that means they’re overcompensating. If they go THAT far in a very stock looking car, my presumption is usually correct.
