Watch: The Aston Martin Valkyrie’s Glorious V12 Sound Will Restore Your Faith In Cars

The war against the combustion engine and loud exhausts is in full swing, and electricfication is threatening the existance of the loud, fuel-guzzling machines we love. However, every so often, a special, noncomformist car drops onto the scene and break all of the rules. The upcoming Aston Martin Valkyrie, with its naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 unit built from the ground-up by performance experts Cosworth, is the maverick we’ve been waiting for.

Adding to the drama of the 1,139bhp hypercar’s test run is the gloomy wet weather that has drenched the Mugello circuit. The slippery tarmac clearly doesn’t phase the car’s driver, as the Valkyrie screams its way to 11,100rpm at a blistering pace. The rooster tail of water surging behind the British hypercar makes this footage borderline epic.
