A weekend of touristenfahrten at the Nordschleife can't possibly pass without incident, and sure enough, a nearly new R8 was filmed having an intimate encounter with some Armco last Saturday

If this poor R8 can be repaired economically, it’s going to need a hell of a lot of work. The front end has been completely demolished, it’s had a full complement of airbag detonations, and that front right wheel doesn’t look like it had a particularly nice time while the car was loaded onto the recovery vehicle. And to add insult to injury, that Armco looks pretty gouged too, which will result in another hefty bill. Ouch.

can anyone tell me why the rope is tied to the wheel? I thought that there is a place to tie the rope to.
The tow hook in an R8 normally is placed in the frunk. Maybe it fell out during the crash or the frunk couldn’t be opened because of the damage.
That is the reason I’d always install the tow hook before going on a track.
And also that removable tow hook doesnt last to pull 4wd car, it will break if u do it, or may do more damage,
Honestly the damage dosent look horrible, but it is still bad.
Goddamn, R8 drivers. Please.
