Racing in darkness at Misano is no easy task, and spinning cars on lap one of the Blancpain GT qualifying race sparked a monstrous crash that involved multiple cars
The crash took place at Turn 6 during Saturday night’s qualifying race, but because of the lack of visibility with the darkness and headlights glaring, it’s still not clear what caused the lap-one incident.
Still, whatever kicked things off, it produced a hugely expensive GT crash. Blancpain said eight cars were involved but it was reported that, thankfully, all drivers caught up in the crash were unharmed.
