We’ve seen the Rimac Conept One take on the might of the hypercar world and come out firmly on top. Smashing both the Porsche 918 Spyder and the LaFerrari in straight-line drag races, the boss of Rimac has now been given the keys to a Veyron to compare the 987bhp hypercar king to his 1088bhp electric creation. Reaching 60mph in 2.6 seconds, the Rimac should technically be neck-and-neck with the Veyron, but it seems turbo lag becomes the Bugatti’s achilles heal when compared to the instant electrical torque delivery of the Concept One.

Although we’re gutted they didn’t square-up over a quarter-mile drag race, the Bugatti has its work cut out keeping up with the Rimac on public roads in this intriguing comparison.
