Is it just me or are just people bashing modern F1 just because of the bandwagon?

When you are browsing CT and other F1 sites, people love to criticize and hate on modern F1 and rant about how there is “no real racing anymore” and I’m sorry, I just can’t find that true. I know about the Senna era and Schumacher era, and I absolutely adore those times in Formula 1. But I think hating on modern F1 is a total disservice to the phenomenal drivers and constructors. Apart from the actually stupid high degrading tires, I think the racing is as good if not better at times than the olden days. Why do people actually hate modern F1?

I do like the sounds, but per philosophy of F1, the V6s, I think are so cool

I think your right… but also think the hate has arisen from genuine issues that have come from this modern era of F1, if the sport wants to truly re-capture the “magic” of eras past but in a present day setting they will have to make fan participation a much bigger priority

Hopefully the new ownership under Liberty Media will rectify that

And next year we won’t have high degrading tyres, and the fastest cars ever. If racing is good and we see more teams fighting for race wins we’ll have a brilliant season

Think the best thing is that we are not sure who will dominate. It could be Mercedes, Red Bull OR even Ferrari. And all the drivers are hungry for the title, so the racing will be guaranteed to be really good

As BTCC, karting, Formula Vee, etc smaller series has proven, slower, more even fields gives you better racing.

That and a big reason people can and will hate modern F1 is because it’s literally one team raping the entire field almost every single race unless they wipe each other out.

Good point, Formula 1 relies heavily on tech so whoever has the biggest budget will win. Domination has always existed

My only problems (other than tires.) Are some at times questionable decisions from the upper execs and mostly the tracks. Most of the new tracks suck ass. They don’t have nice flowing corners, and they always have stupid paved run off areas.

My solution to those problems: retire Bernie ASAP.
