Can you get a ticket for driving with slicks?

I know it’s technically to drive with slicks, but has anyone ever actually got caught for this? If you’re being decent on the road, I have a hard time believing a cop would really be able to pick you out unless you have a huge set on. It’s a couple miles to my local track, and I want to know if I could make it so I don’t have to haul more than one set there.

I believe he means slick tires (used for racing). And the answer is you can get a ticket for driving on the road. Also, they will wear prematurely depending on the compound, so I wouldn’t drive them too far.

I’d say it really depends on what all is happening. My buddy got slapped with a ticket in the rain for slicks but my other friend runs slicks on his daily and never gets anything. Yes I said daily. He’s a sub human so he thinks tread creates drag. On my life the dude drives on Hoosiers in the snow. But like I said it’s dependent on what’s going down
