Some a-hole crashed into my first car and left without notice.... - BMW 6 and 7-series Forum

so this was my first car, a 1990 BMW E32 750i. 8 years ago I fixed it and drove it for two years until I got my hands on a very decent E34 535i and then two years later bought my M5… this is 3 years from now so the E46 M3 did not happen in time. I had a very stressful weekend with time plan. This E32 passed the German technical inspection one month ago with flying colors and I thought okay this old battleship will stay two more years in the family as a towing car….it has dents all over before I got my hands on it, and now reaches 350.000km. So yeah it is no garage car it stands on the narrow street the family house is in. But this week some A-hole backed up and trashed the front. Not only the indicator, the crash absorber (deformation box, that rusty thing which looks like it wants to punch you) in the bumper were damaged and a bit of the mask was broken, too. And no f*ckin idiot saw something. Police…is a joke on stuff like that, I get they have better things to do… but come on there are just 20-30 cars to check I did find the a-hole with a damaged bumper and tow bar, but hard to prove right?

Because it is a luxury car I needed to take of the airfilterbox, hoses and radiator (Just one screw so I could move it up and down a bit) just to access the deformation box. Of course before all that needed to take of the bumper, but that is not a thing with this car (2 clips and 2 screws….2 minutes). Got another indicator and we (my father and I) repaired the deformation box using a car jack and a iron tube to get it back to 100 mm size (got 98 mm, but it still fits with no problems, a new deformation thing is 180€). Then I visited my grandpa in hospital (nothing serious just an alergic reaction to some meds) and got the indicator light. My father fixed the mask by sodering plastic back together… you see that spare parts box…it is from my fathers 750IL which he bought when he was 29 years old and was his second BMW….and family car…he drove it for over 500.000km until the engine blew on the Autobahn, since then it is a donator for our many BMWs.

So after 7 hours of work from my Dad, 4h from my Saturday + some spare parts the damage was fixed, but hell that a-hole… I am looking for how to damage a Mazda 626 without getting caught, right now I am ordering marten pheromones, but what else is a good Idea? I mean this was basically my freetime destroyed that saturday.
