Race and police chase, Only in Baja!! Part of History!!

This chase was in Mexico in the middle of the Baja 250. The BAJA 250, 500 and 1000 are a open road race, there is race trucks, cars and bikes and is also normal traffic, so when you’re racing in the highways or town streets, you have to drive at the speed limit for normal traffic, and don’t do dangerous overtaking, well this is obvious, but sometimes, when you’re racing you only think in the race.
This is a video from long ago, Mark Post in the Trophy Truck was exceeding the speed limit and doing dangerous overtakings, and was caught by the Federal Police in Mexico (Highways Patrols), when they asked him to stop and get the normal infraction, he only ran away so here is when this police chase began, he avoided police roadblocks, but when he enter to the town of Santo Tomas ther were several officers blocking the road and taking Mark Post and his Co-Pilot off of the truck, at gunpoint was being expected, he stopped and arrested for the chase, his truck was taken to the impound, and the day of race ended early for Riviera Racing.
At the end he accept their mistake and paid his bail and take his truck out of the impound
