What car would you use as tracktool?
Happy holidays guys. After I got my AutoArt Sierra Cosworth yesterday, this question came up in my mind: If I you build a tracktool which car would I use?
Obviously I can neither afford a stock Sierra Cosworth nor a real DTM-Racer. So let’s say if I had a 30 to 40k budget to build a tracktool which car would I use? Here are my favorites:
Model: Nissan Silvia/200SX S14 Kouki
Engine: Nissan SR20DET
Aspiration: Single Turbo (probably a Garret or Greddy/Trust)
Ideal power output: ~350 - 400 hp
Model: Honda Civic EJ Coupe
Engine: Honda K20A swap
Aspiration: NA with 9500 - 10k redline
Ideal power output: ~300 hp
Model: Honda Civic EF
Engine: Honda H22A
Aspiration: Maybe NA but I wouldn’t mind a Supercharger or Turbo kit
Ideal power output: NA ~300 hp, SC ~350 hp, Turbo ~350 - 400 hp
So these are the cars I would love to have as a tracktool. What are your suggestions?

I’d probably go with a na miata and build it up to be eligible for the spec miata scca class
SCCA is Murican isn’t it?
Ford Sierra Hatch with the 2.9 V6, Two Turbos, Ideal Output is pegged at 400-500 bhp.
Wow. That must sound incredible
Offroad track: Range Rover P38 4.6
Lift it
Offroad tyres+Wheels
Done XD
And for the Nürburgring?
rx8 or mx5
Unit 18 automotive’s road legal track s13 please.
Current Renault Twingo with a RenaultNissan V6 squeezed behind the rear seats. Then stripped, put on coilovers and decent tyres.
Don’t do it. My sister drives the current Twingo. It’s the most crappy car I’ve ever drove. It is more afraid of wind than a Sprinter. But maybe you could recreate the Clio V6 if use the current Clio
Nissan Micra K11 Super S for me with a striped interior, a 7 speed sequential gearbox, stock engine with a supercharger add on with 400 whp, a RWD conversion, racing interior, full roll cage, coilovers, upgraded steering angle, good tires, a nismo body kit and good tires.
Which gen is the K11?
S2000 SC’d with some fancy tires and aero bits
We built an e46 m3 into a total track beast. Intake, headers, and a really good tune got it to 350 at the wheels. Sitting just under 2600 with a full tank. Right now sitting about $38,000 into it right now. Eats gt3s and zr1s for breakfast and craps gtrs
You sir have my respect
Thanks man
