More About the Car:

• The DC Avanti is India’s first ever production sports car.

• A limited edition of the Avanti, called the Avanti 310 has been released with, you guessed it, 310 horsepower! It has the same engine, but with a power increase, and carbon fiber has been added in parts of the body, including a wing for more downforce. The 310 also has stiffer anti roll bars, lowered suspension, and an optional dual clutch transmission. However, only 31 of them were made.

• DC Design is planning a V6 Avanti in the future, and is trying to make a deal with Honda for the engine. The V6 will put out around 400 horsepower.

• DC gets its name from its founder and CEO, Dilip Chhabria, while the name Avanti is a nod to the Studebaker Avanti, a luxury car from the 60’s.
