Audi TT hate?
I recently purchased a Mk1 TT that I absolutely love. It seems all of the people who are not car enthusiasts love the design/look of it, but the so-called enthusiasts hate it. I would consider myself a hard-core car enthusiast, and I think the styling is gorgeous. I know it’s all subjective, but does anyone else notice this with their TT’s (especially Mk1s)?

I will be honest. I myself dont care for the bubbly round look. Thats why I was glad they did softer swooping lines on the Mk2. But that certainly doesnt mean I hate the mk1 by any means. As said styling is a personal taste.
I have an MK1 TT and I think that unmodified, the car looks very girly and feminine. But you can make it look like a whole different car by doing some quality cosmetic upgrades.
Here’s a stock one. It looks pretty feminine.
Here’s mine. I think it looks just as manly as a Nissan 240 SX or a Camaro
The 3.2l is the best looking mk1 in my opinion. I love the brake vents and larger spoiler. That said I’ve gotten a bunch of crap for driving it around (I live in a hick town and it’s not a diesel truck) but who cares. It’s a great car. Just appreciate it for what it is
I have the 1.8l, and I live in a town similar to what you describe, but what I find funny is all of the truck people, etc. really like the car, it’s just the ppl that think they are car experts that don’t. I will appreciate it, because if its something you pick out and pay for yourself (like I did), screw the haters.
I own one and I love it I don’t think the design is feminine at all and the shape is actually aggressive the only thing is to fit some non-stock rims to make it a bit more aggressive!
This is the one I’m going to buy in a few days
