This Tesla Model X Pulling A Plane Is Absolutely Not A Distraction

Tesla's cars have a lot of torque. This we know. However, the latest publicity stunt featuring a Model X pulling a commercial jet is plainly trying to distract us from Tesla's real problems...

Today we can bring you another story about troubled EV maker Tesla and – wait, hey, everyone, come and look at this cool thing on Twitter!

This footage of a Model X pulling a Qantas-operated Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner sure is pretty neat. It shows off the car’s ridiculous pulling power, although we’d imagine that if a consumer tried this they might just void their warranty.

This Tesla Model X Pulling A Plane Is Absolutely Not A Distraction

But this is, of course, an attempt to distract Tesla’s observers from the fact that the company really isn’t in good shape right now. Production problems persist, staff morale is reportedly on the floor and debts are mounting.

There’s one glimmer of positivity in all this. To be fair to Tesla, this footage does remind us that, whatever is going on behind the scenes and no matter whether the door panels align properly or not, its electric drivetrains really are quite good.

So your point is that they’re supposed to hide and not market themselves during hard times?

Of course they’re going to care about their appearance and image despite the turbulence. After all, that is probably part of the effort they’re making to ride out the storm.
