This shocking scene was filmed around 25 minutes after a Mustang slammed into a lamp post in Ballard, Washington. The uploader claims that the car was a rental vehicle, which was being driven at around 90mph in a 30mph zone at the time of the accident. Despite the car ending up torn in two, the driver is said to have walked away from the wreck, with only a ‘small laceration’ to the head.

Good old American build quality!

I’m fairly certain this has absolutely nothing to do with build quality.

You’re right, because other car manufacturers crash test their cars by slamming them into poles at 90mph. American car makers should really start doing that. They should put you in charge of the company, since you’re a lot smarter than they are

Well considering the driver walked away fine, I would say the build quality is okay. While you could build a car that doesn’t even dent when crashed like 60’s American cars, all the kinetic energy would be transferred to you essentially, SCIENTIFICALLY, f*ing you up. This mustang was built with quality and protected the driver successfully. If the same thing happened to you in your civic, and you walked away, it’s probably because you would halve trouble reaching 50 miles an hour let alone 90 lmao. And this is coming from a Chevy guy who never gets tired of mustang jokes.
