This Mansory-Modified Mercedes-AMG C63 S Is Suspiciously Subtle

You know how young, crazy rock stars always seem to go a bit conservative as they get older? Mansory seems to have reined-in the madness with its latest project

Never knowing quite what we’re going to see next is one of tuning house Mansory’s most defining features, and this time they’ve really surprised us.

The main reason we’re so shocked is that we can actually look at this one without suffering headaches or stomach pains. In fairness, Mansory designs a lot of its projects for rich sportspeople and oil Sheikhs in the Middle East, whose tastes rather differ from our own.

This one, though, comes nowhere near the level of alterations that we’ve seen from Mansory before. It’s a Mercedes-AMG C63 S, and the mods are surprisingly subtle. The showiest has to be the twin, offset stripe running all the way over the top of the car from the grille to the small boot spoiler. Over pearl white paint, a thick black stripe is paired with a thin red one to one side, the two separated by a body-colour stripe the same width as the red one.

A few extra aero fins adorn the corners. These are naked carbonfibre but aren’t as massive and overdone as we’ve often seen in these sorts of things. The Mansory ‘M’ badge replaces the Mercedes star in the AMG twin-spar grille, while black and red lower body detailing skirts the bumpers and sides.

The black, 20-inch 15-spoke wheels are new, too, but other than that and a few extra carbon items, the car is surprisingly… normal-looking. To restore some traditional Mansory madness the engine has been fettled. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 has been bumped by 138bhp to 641bhp – enough to turn the rear tyres into rubber crumbs in about four seconds.

The speed limiter has been removed to allow 192mph autobahn runs so you probably shouldn’t skimp on tyre bills. We suspect that people who go to Mansory with a car aren’t all too concerned about money, to be honest, but either way, it’s good to see one of the tuner’s cars we don’t have to pass by.

It’s a pity they didn’t properly fix the dreaded fake exhaust tips or black the tyres before taking the pictures, but hey, you can’t win ‘em all.

That wheel gap though! Is that still stock suspension?!
They still made the car look worse than before but at least it’s not completely ruined like other mansory builds.
