This Rolls Royce was completely transformed into a hot-rodding hunting machine for Moroccan royalty, and we kinda like it...

It’s safe to say that we’ve grown used to bonkers cars from various royal families. From the Sultan of Brunei’s mad Pininfarina specials to Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan’s (The Rainbow Sheikh) fleet of multicoloured S- Class Mercedes, we thought we’d seen it all. How wrong we were.

This monstrosity started off life as a regular 1977 Rolls Royce Camargue before King Hassan II of Morocco got his hands on it. Details are limited, but this particular Rolls was sent off to Swiss design house Sbarro to be converted into a ‘hunting car’ - specifically a falconry car. Visualising the King riding around with his pet bird of prey makes the whole thing that little bit weirder.

Re-branded as a Sbarro Unikat, it appears that this vehicle is a unique one-off build. The modified deep dish Crewe wheels coupled with flared wheel arches are pure 1970s muscle, as are the side-exit exhausts and high-profile tyres. But this design isn’t all about style. The doors have been removed for quick ingress and egress and the fold-down windshield and grab rail is very Land Rover Defender; essential for hunting.

The interior is surprisingly tasteful with a mixture of dark blue piping on butterscotch leather seats. The blue harnesses are also a nice addition along with the blue burl dashboard. And if the car wasn’t personalised enough, the RR logo on the aftermarket steering wheel has been replaced with a special royal seal of approval. Unfortunately no details are available on the mechanical modifications to the car, but we hope that this Rolls isn’t just questionable style over substance.

So if you happen to have a penchant for birds of prey and luxury vehicles, look no further as this is clearly the car for you. The Unikat is currently for sale for an eye-watering price of £181,740 (€248,000, $267,000).

Let us know, CTzens: would you go hunting in this beast…?
