This Guy Rolled His Car Onto Its Side While Avoiding A Head-On Collision
Faced with another driver trying to pull off a ludicrously unsafe overtake, the guy in this Toyota Yaris took evasive action, and flipped his car onto its side in the process
Fortunately, the Yaris driver suffered only minor injuries in this scary accident. What’s particularly pleasing to see is how calm all parties were after the crash - it certainly makes a nice change to all those road rage videos we’re used to watching!

That was brutal
Its a shame, he did the right thing if he had ABS, but he locked up and skidded into the wall and rolling over. Its a good thing that these old Yaris’ are quite safe for their age and size, and he was uninjured luckily because of that.
my mom has one and i had close call once, lucky me has was a bit more experienced at the time than this dude and was able to avoid total wheel lock, nothing like doing a blind corner and see a stooped truck 30 meters away…
This is why BMW drivers are stereotyped.

BMW driver is the faulty one here without a doubt but I think the yaris driver also overreacted with panic and that coused him to flip his car
It took him 2 seconds to react. And then he hit the brakes too hard, which started to spin the car clockwise, and he did counter steer. But they he lifted off the brakes rapidly which caused the car to spin anti clockwise and he didn’t react to the pendulum effect quick enough. Not the Yaris’s fault but it could have been avoided.
Unexperimented drivers!!! The accident could have been avoided very easy.
Yes, with hindsight, not when you are facing a crash with a combined speed of, like he said, around 110 mph, quite possibly more
Sooo we should experiment on drivers more? Sounds logical but I’m not sure how the ethics would be handled.

Interestingly, very similar thing happened to me recently, I saw a range rover not seeing me and overtaking a car on a B-road, but thankfully I had time to brake (the car being overtaken also braked which helped a lot) so we could all avoid accidents.
