The reason why they’re doing this is because all of the Pommy backpackers complain about having to drive down a dirt bumpy road for 500 miles at a time.
Someone tell them to get a Ute.
How else do you build a road? You lay tarmac down, then compress it while it’s still hot. Job done
you get a big roll of concrete and you have a large crew of workers un roll it and wulah! Job Done
They did this out front of my house growing up. It takes a LONG time for all of the little pebbles to finally stick to the road and become something that resembles pavement.
Most the time you just end up with big holes where they didn’t stick in time
Oh God, even CarThrottle has gone UNILAD

Basically. It’s not actually paving, I know because I work in the industry. They’re just coating gravel in oil/tar.
