This Aston Martin GTE Am Car Just Spun Into A Concrete Wall At Le Mans

With just under seven and a half hours to go at Le Mans, the #96 Aston Martin GTE Am car spun off at the exit of the Porsche Curves and straight into a concrete wall

Roald Goethe was at the wheel of the #96 Aston Martin when the incident took place. It appears the GTE Am car may have been tagged by race leader Nico Hulkenberg’s #19 Porsche 919 Hybrid as he lapped Goethe.

The Safety Car was deployed to clear the car. Aston Martin confirmed Goethe was conscious and talking over the radio but was taken to the Circuit de la Sarthe medical centre. He will now go to hospital for precautionary x-rays.
