This 2014 Volvo V60 Polestar Has Lost A Third Of Its Original Value Already

We’ve already seen how a Polestar version of the incoming S90 could look, but what if you fancy some fast Swedish metal with that little blue badge right now? Enter stage left, the V60 Polestar.

It’ll be the last hot Volvo to have more than four cylinders under the bonnet, and is a much sharper thing than you might expect. Its 345bhp turbocharged straight-six makes it decently quick, and it sounds rather lovely, too.

You can still buy them new if you’re will to lay down a cool £49,785, but it seems that these hot wagons depreciate at a particularly shocking rate, so it’s possible to buy one for a hell of a lot less. Case in point? This £33,000, 2014 approved used example. In the 17 months since it was first registered, it’s shed £17,000: over a third of its original value.

Considering it has just over 8000 miles on the clock, that seems like a jolly good deal. On the other hand, if these hot V60s have dropped such a significant amount in just a year and a half, they’ll probably continue to lose value at a particularly terrifying rate.

Upshot? While it’s probably not the best idea to buy one now (and let’s face it, not many of us will have a spare £33,000 stashed down the back of the sofa), once the depreciation on these levels off a bit, they’ll be utter bargains. One to watch out for…

I’ve drove few of them…short trip around airfield but i could get the sense of it..and have to say it…i would chose it over an rs4 or something similar…it just feel soo nice and powerful, and comfortable, and then you know that you have so much power under your right foot….Thats my sort of a car :)
