There's Now A More Hardcore Upgrade Pack For The 2018 Ford Mustang

With buyers calling for something to bridge the gap between the full-fat GT350 model and the regular Mustang, Ford has released a Performance Pack Level 2 that should tick people's boxes nicely

Ford has revealed another optional upgrade package for the Mustang, but for now it’s only available in the States.

Designed for the 2018 car, the Performance Pack Level 2 takes the car’s capabilities one step further. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres make a big difference to grip and traction, being an inch and a half wider than the standard rubber and mounted on 19-inch wheels unique to the upgrade pack.

The other key upgrades in the Level 2 pack are stiffer MagneRide bouncy bits and a quicker steering calibration. The upgraded car should be light years ahead on track and feel more alert and capable on the road, too.

Elsewhere, to help keep it the right way up, the upgraded Mustang gets the front splitter from the previous generation Boss 302 Laguna Seca. Price for the kit is likely to be pretty steep; way above the £3000 or so of the current UK option pack, even if this country gets it. In the US the Level 1 package costs $3995, but be prepared for that to rise a lot.

The 2018 Mustang IMO is better bang for buck than a GTR, or a Vette.

Might get some GTR fanboys hitting downvote with that one ;)

Well, a fully-optioned Mustang GT in the UK costs about half what a base GT-R costs.

I think it’s just a normal one, the Pack 1 has a big(ish) wing
