The World's Only Road-Legal Ferrari FXX Is Up For Sale

Supercar buying opportunities don’t get much rarer than this. Not only are you looking at one of just 38 Ferrari FXXs ever made, you’re also looking at the only one in the world that’s road legal.

Quite why anyone would want to make what’s essentially an 800bhp+ racing car cum track toy into something that can be driven on our crappy road network is beyond us, but there’s probably a perverse pleasure to be had in using it to pop to Tesco to pick up a pint of milk.

Based on the Enzo, the FXX saw Ferrari’s 6.0-litre V12 increase to 6.3-litres of displacement. A six-speed semi-automatic transmission allowed for brutally fast shifts, while the bodywork was given all of the aero. Oh, and slicks were added too.

Ferrari improved the FXX further with the Evoluzione kit, with tweaks to the aero, gearbox and engine. With 848bhp on tap, the Evo cars are good for 0-62mph in a ludicrous 2.5 seconds.

This particular FXX was converted for road by use Ferrari itself, given lights, rear-view cameras, a handbrake, a lift kit to stop the front splitter smashing into speedbumps, and much more besides.

It’s currently up for sale at Amari, listed as ‘POA’, although it’ll almost certainly be going for some bonkers seven figure number. A lot of money in other words, but then not many cars sound like this:

Surely some Chinese billionaire will buy the FXX and crash it inside a tunnel.

I thought Ferrari doesn’t even let you bring your FXX home, they keep it at their nearest facility and drop it off at whatever track you’re planning on going to…unless this was just a rumor, can somebody confirm…?

It was just a rumor. The owner of this car (@bondjbb on instagram) has kept his at home all this time, and @yonly65 and his wife keep their XX cars at home.

I wonder if Rubens has one. Ferrari never treat their number 2 drivers that well…..

It troubles me that ferrari makes a lift kit, soon they will be a whole 10cm off the ground!

Well, if it’s 10cm off the ground, then it’s legal ride height in Australia

This car is the definition of insane. I’ve seen it in action, and when you lose sight of them over the horizon it still drowns out the sound of any cars starting up right next to you
