Looper: The Star Cars. And A Hummer

Bruce Willis is back in cinemas! No longer will we see him in a bathrobe wondering why his broadband isn't working. His latest gig in the film Looper promises to be epic

So what's Looper about then? Set between the years 2044 and 2074, the film's obviously about time travel and pesky criminals who are up to no good. We won't spoil the story line, however, but here is a quick run through of some of the star cars you'll be seeing in the movie.

This is the main character, a first generation Mazda MX-5. Built between 1990 and 1998, it was Japan's take on the classic British roadster; only it was much more reliable. That's why it's still being used in 2044, of course. A decent one today can be bought for as little as a grand, by the way...

Chasing these illegal time-traveling 'loopers' is this Hummer H2, which spends its time squishing civilians in their 'little' pieces of junk. Standard. Plenty of rappers and celebs across the pond had at least one in the noughties, but in 2010 GM decided to kill off the brand. Don't worry if you love mega SUVs, however, there's always that £300,000 Marauder from South Africa; that's bloody huge compared with the tiny Hummer.

Last, but certainly not least, is this Jaguar XKR. Of course, if we were really fussy, we would expect to see many F-Types in the year 2044, but the big Jag coupe will do. The 503bhp, 5.0-litre V8 is capable of catapulting the XKR away from this explosion at 62mph in 4.6 seconds.

Looper made it's debut at the Toronto film festival last month and is available at your local cinema right now. Go check it out. (Apparently Taken 2 is a bit crap)
