The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Configurator Is Our New Favourite Productivity Killer

You can now design your own virtual Porsche 911 GT2 RS, because being productive in the office is so overrated
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Configurator Is Our New Favourite Productivity Killer

Did you tell yourself that you were actually going to get something productive done today? Well, you can pretty well forget about it, because Porsche has just launched the online configurator for its brand-new 911 GT2 RS. Predictably, I’ve already spent far too much time on it, making sure every last stitch, floor mat and headlight bezel is just the way I want it.

Here’s my pièce de résistance. Since there’s no actual money going into this, I have decided to load it up with some goodies. The most important option? The £21,042 Weissach Package, which combines magnesium wheels, a roll cage and a generous amount of carbonfibre to make it even more track-ready.

The Lava Orange paint alone costs a whopping £2525, which doesn’t include the £1211 you’ll need to paint the air vents and the climate control tunnel in the same colour. For contrast, I’ve also finished mine with gloss black-painted mirrors, white instrument dials, and some clashing Miami Blue seatbelts (which are compatible with your favourite HANS device).

After throwing in some other toys, my widowmaker came out to a grand total of £238,812.00 (including VAT). In true Porsche spirit, that’ll give your wallet some serious weight reduction, bro. Combine this with the fact that production of the GT2 RS is limited, and there’s a pretty good chance that I’m never actually going to own one of these. Oh well, one can dream.

What would your Porsche 911 GT2 RS look like? Create your own using the Porsche configurator and post your builds in the comments below!

I’m going to the European configurator just because there is a better material for the roll cage compared to the GT2 RS we get in the U.S.

Porsche is straight up scamming people

Charging over $1000 to paint the outside of the vents lmfao

Bruh I could do that with a $10 can of plastidip

Yeah but plasti dip looks like trash. And if you have enough cash for one if these you dont care about 1000 bucks here or there

If you want a passenger storage net
You’ll have to do without the Weissach pack

The Weissach Package: $31,000 to drop 39.7 lbs. I think I might just get a gym membership for $30/month instead

Or just go full-on Dodge Demon and throw out the passenger seat. Too many passengers dilute the fun!
