A few months ago, a feature being filmed for Top Gear ended in a huge fire. Chris Harris and Eddie Jordan fortunately escaped uninjured after the Alpine A110 they were using to take on a stage of the Monte Carlo rally went up in flames, and now, we get to see exactly what happened.

The segment will be part of the sixth and final episode of Top Gear’s 25th series, which will air in the UK on Sunday night. There’ll also be SUV/horse-based shenanigans with an Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Range Rover Velar and Volvo XC60, while back at the studio, comedian Jason Manford will have his turn in the Reasonably Fast Car.

What have you thought of the series so far?

Wow, this time it only has 2 dislikes. I’m guessing it’s just your standard haters and not your super mega spam hater, he will come later and then you’ll have like 10 downvotes lol

Jokes aside, I find it hard to justify picking an A110 over the Cayman S. They are similarly priced, but Porsche engine packs more punch, and is probably better made compared to Alpine. Yes the Alpine handles very good, but the Cayman S is no slouch either, as the whole 718/Cayman/Boxster is always praised to be well balanced vehicles.
