The New Porsche 911 GT3 Sounds Just As Sensational As The Old One

The facelifted version of Porsche 911 GT3 has been spotted tearing around the Nurburgring during an industry pool test session. Sounds good, no?

Judging by the gear shifts, the car you see here is almost certainly packing the PDK automatic transmission. However, it’s set to be joined by a manual gearbox-equipped version. Yep, after the PDK-only pre-facelift 991 GT3, the good ol’ stick shifter is making a comeback.

In addition to the manual ‘box option and some subtle styling revisions, power is also expected to rise. Don’t be surprised if the finished product puts out almost as much power as the 493bhp GT3 RS

Won’t that devalue the 911R? That was supposed to be the last manual 911.

I was thinking the same
Last n/a Porsche 911
Last manual 911
New gt3 has 500hp
It’s like the same car in terms of stats

The GT3 has a 3.8 Flat-Six, the GT3 RS uses a bored out version of it, at 4.0, the 911 R uses the RS’s engine, but doesn’t have the RS’s Roll-cage, or the aggressive bodywork, but has the same weight-saving measures as those of the GT3 RS(i.e Magnesium roof), also, the R has a unique diffuser and front bumper. The GT3 and GT3 RS uses a PDK, while the R gets a 6-spd Manual…
