The 8 Most Awesome Pieces Of Content By CTzens This Week

Here are our favourite pieces of user-generated content posted on Car Throttle this week!

Omar CG‘s excellent post about why the National Hot Rod Association should make the switch towards electric cars starts off this week’s roundup. Valid points are raised, from encouraging a new generation of car enthusiasts, as well as helping current petrolheads understand why EVs can be awesome.

There are many people perusing the pages of Car Throttle who would do terrible things for the chance to own a Datsun 240Z, and I’m chief amongst them. Freddie Dunau is the lucky owner of a modified example of this highly sought after car, and his post sharing a few things you should know about owning a 240Z is a great read.

The idea of getting paid to drive pre-production prototypes around sounds like a pretty awesome job to most petrolheads, but according to zStickmaster it’s not as glamorous as you might expect. Still, it has its perks, not least getting to drive cars before anyone else!

Mr. Aaron is fed up of hearing about the horsepower race, and he’s got a thing or two to say about it. As the owner of a 75bhp car, he should know better than most why power isn’t everything!

So you pass your driving test and it’s time to buy a car. You’ve been sensible enough to save money and your dream car is in your sights… don’t buy it! That’s the advice from Ivan Gregor, anyway, who’s clearly had to learn the hard way!

Here’s a fun post, courtesy of Ben Anderson. He’s collected together a bunch of car-themed words that differ between America and the UK. It’s all English, but with a difference.

ThatVolksGuySL is the lucky owner of a 1977 Volkswagen Beetle, however perhaps unfortunately, he also lives in Sri Lanka. Why is this unfortunate? Because Sri Lanka gets pretty damn hot, and the Beetle has no air conditioning. Hit the link above to find out what else sucks about daily driving a ‘77 Beetle!

Driv3ntodr1ve is more than happy with his V6 Mustang, but it’s not without its drawbacks. Unfortunately, outsiders’ perceptions of V6 owners make it difficult to not look like one of those other clueless fools!

Aboud that V6 mustang thing, why didn’t you get the ecoboost? Yes it’s a 4 cyl but it’s basicly the same engine thats in the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6, which means with a few mods it can walk over a lot of cars.
So why V6? Personal prefrence?
