Six Spectators Killed After Horrifying Rally Crash In Spain

A rally car lost control and veered into a crowd of spectators during the A Coruña rally in north-western Spain on Saturday, killing six people

At least six people have been killed after a car lost control and spun off road in the Rally de A Coruña in north-western Spain on Saturday evening.

According to the latest BBC report, police say 16 people have also been injured, some critically. The rally was taking place in the town of Carral, in the province Galicia, with over 140 people taking part and was suspended after the crash.

Local media say the driver and co-driver in the car involved were unharmed. The Guardian reports that two men and four women, one of whom was pregnant, were killed.

Police said that the car was going too fast for the corner, causing it to veer off road. A video of the crash has emerged, but be warned as some may find the footage disturbing.
