Lanzante Motorsport's P1 GT Longtail is almost here. Here's the latest teaser showcasing the new fender louvres and dashboard finish.
In the latest instalment of McLaren P1 GT Longtail teasers, we get a first look at the almost-completed front end of the car. The front fenders now benefit from 8 louvres each (the same number as used on the F1 GT ‘Longtails’), and it appears as though the Heritage badge on the front has been refinished with red pinstriping to match those worn by the original F1s. Inside it looks like the interior has been changed too: cream alcantara - as opposed to the usual black alcantara - sits atop the dashboard and steering column
The car Lanzante is building the GT Longtail on is P1 GTR 033. This particular road-legal GTR was up for grabs at RM Sotheby’s Villa Erba auction last year, though failed to sell for its £2,800,000 lower estimate. After this the car went on to DK Engineering in the UK where it was soon purchased by a Dubai-based collector who had the car sent over to Lanzante almost immediately.
Though an official release date isn’t yet known, Lanzante are currently having their facilities completely rebuilt to accommodate the growing demand for extra special McLarens. It’s possible that the Longtail’s unveil will coincide with the completion of the new Lanzante building. Looking at the photo above, it appears as though the wait may not be too long.
