Check the spark plug if it’s not that maybe the carb is gunked

Carb is freshly ungunked and the spark plug is new

Yep, checked while the carb was off, it’s new gas too

I don’t have a compression testing thing right now but it’s rather new and shouldn’t have ring issues

Being a 4-stroke, it could need a valve adjustment. No way it has low compression yet. That seems to be the issue with a lot of hard starting bikes. You can do it yourself, but it takes time.

I think its lack of compression.Check cylinder,rings and gasket.if its a 4 stroke check valves too.

I figured out what it was, it was this safety switch thing on the brakes (which apparently the DRZ don’t have stock)
