People Have Been Sending Mike Brewer Death Threats And Edd China Isn’t Happy
Judging by the response to our story about Edd China leaving Wheeler Dealers last week, it seems a lot of you are sad to see him go. However, some have chosen to take their anger about the trigger for Ed’s leaving - the production company ‘dumbing down’ the show - out on presenter Mike Brewer.
China today released a video mentioning that Brewer and his family have been on the receiving end of vitriol from angry Wheeler Dealers fans. He said: “Mike called me at the weekend and told me that over the past few days; not only he, but also his wife and daughter had been receiving a lot of abuse and even death threats, because of my leaving the show, and that’s really NOT cool.” Not cool indeed.
While he conceded Mike is “probably not” his “favourite person at right now” and that “I know for sure I am not his,” he urged fans to move on and look forward to the prospect of potentially having two great workshop-related shows to watch - Wheeler Dealers, and whatever China does next.
It’s sad that China had to make this video at all, but hopefully the abuse aimed at Brewer and his family will now die down.

What is wrong with people
Its the digital age, because people can now remain anonymous they say whatever disgusting things they feel like.
Serious props to Ed for putting out this video, nobody deserves to deal with that sort of abuse especially when they haven’t done a single thing wrong. Let’s just hope those within ( i hate to say this but) our community listen to this and understand that what they’re doing is sickening

I get it. People are disappointed that Edd is leaving Wheeler Dealers. And that’s ok, I’m disappointed too. But death threats? Really? How is that ever going to help with anything?
And also towards a person that most likely had little to nothing to do with the decision that made Edd leave in the first place.
And people wonder why there’s war in the world…

mike a decent guy, who just love presenting wheeler dealers will it be the same answer no but no need to go there matt way to far.

Still, both Mike and Edd have acted like gentlemen during this.

The act in itself is sickening but people must seriously have no brains what so ever if they think it’s actually going to accomplish anything at all besides driving people further apart. “Mike is “probably not” his “favourite person at right now” and that ‘I know for sure I am not his’”, I’m sad this is how one era ends and how two people who have had great presenter chemistry for 13 years are going their separate ways.
If you send death threats to someone, especially over a show, movie, book, or game, you are a horrible person.
