When Aston finally culled the Toyota IQ-based Cygnet last year, we were rather glad to see that shameless money spinner perish. However, we have some bad news: Chinese firm Jiangsu Daojue Industrial Corporation has resurrected it. Sort of.

What you see here is the Dojo Pioneer. It’s a dinky little electric car with a range of 75 miles and a massive 13bhp on tap, and while it does bear quite a resemblance to the Cygnet at the front, from the A-pillar backwards it looks a tad more generic, a bit like a Daewoo Matiz. So at least it’s not quite as shameless as some of Land Wind’s Land Rover copies…
