Leather on G27 'rubbing off' 😞

I’ve had this problem for a while now, after using my g27 for a bit i get black particles on my hand like its rubbing off or something, i tried leather cleaner but it didnt work, i’m considering re-wrapping the wheel but i need to find leather at a good price and tbh i would rather find a solution that doesnt involve replacing the leather

also i dont really want to change the wheel, and i cant really afford that either way
any ideas?
