Front bumper install and DIY no-drill license plate bracket (small blog post)

I’ve wanted a 03/04 Cobra bumper for my 2004 Mustang GT for a while now, not just for the looks but also for the added airflow to my procharger’s intercooler. My old bumper’s paint was chipped all over and the foglights were mismatched. Bought the bumper pre-painted from Ebay shipped to my door for free. Spent a day making a no-drill license plate bracket out of some aluminum and pop rivets - was more appealing to me than spending 50 bucks for one. It clamps on to the underside of the bumper via wing-nuts and is lined by felt to protect the paint on that part of the bumper. With my old bumper off, I took the opportunity to go ahead and restore my cloudy headlights with a 3M drill kit. After transferring my old chin spoiler over to the new bumper, some delays in shipping (thanks for sending me a cracked light the first time around, Ebay!), and modifying a few areas on the car where the bumper mounts, I got everything bolted up and connected. I did most of the work in my apartment parking lot with a ratchet, screwdrivers, a drill, and my ever so trusty dremel tool.
