Yamaha XJ6N vs MT-07(FZ-07)?

Which is the better half?

The MT-07 is more agile and faster in the lower/middle end.
The power is almost equal but the main difference is the cylinder count (mt -2/ xj -4)
Both are nice bikes and I would go for the XJ because I love 4 Cylinder bikes. It’s a matter of taste. Both are good but different.

I bet the 4 cylinders would sound awesome with aftermarket exhaust. Anyways, I thought about saving a bit more cash so that I could get either the MT-09 or Z800. Still thinking about it.

I hoped you would believe me when I say that the price for the CBR600RR is roughly €15,000/$16,500 where I’m from and is somewhat expensive. It’s also the reason why I figured I’d try asking some guys here who owns/knows anything about these kind of bikes so that at least I wouldn’t screw my self up financially. I really want to try my hands on these big displacement bikes to see how it would feel like owning one considering that I’m using a 150cc bike. I really do appreciate your thoughts on this matter. :D

That’s just too much XDDD
But not talking about the import, I once saw a new Volvo on display, it’s sell price was only (“only”…) around €27.000…
With 22%VAT and other taxes about polution and stuff it reached 42.000
Import taxes not applicable here…
But on a magazine I saw an Imported Rolls-Royce (costing 237.000) being sold for 400.000 so basically almost 200%…. I can’t imagine 300%

If the brand has a representation here and sells this car in the Portuguese or at least European market we pay the car plus “normal” taxes. If it doesn’t we are going to pay a lot for a car. That’s one of the reasons we don’t have many imported cars.
On my island (Madeira Island) we have a designated License Plate (started with MA-00-00 or MD-00-00 went to 00-00-MA or MD and currently is 00-MA-00 or MD) and lately I only saw a car with a recent import plate…

But one of the Ford representative owners in here has a Shelby Mustang GT500 and ‘cause the brand sells them in the european market, it’s not considered an Import car, therefore he didn’t pay import taxes nor he has an import plate :)

We do have brand representation here as well but the pricing is slightly cheaper and by slightly I mean about 10% give or take. Ok. An unreg 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo S costs I’d say maybe $160,000ish. Here, it’s about $290,000ish. If you were to exchange the currency into Malaysian Ringgit (RM) that would amount to RM 1,200,000. One frickin’ million for a Porsche. Bloody hell! What gives! Look, here I was asking the guys on CT about what’s the best slightly large displacement bikes to consider purchase and here we are talking about how f*ck up our taxes are. This shows that when discussing about our vehicle preferences, the slight mention of taxes will screw up the whole conversation. OMG. Haha! Taxes man. You can’t get away from em. :p

The MT-07 would be better for city riding
The XJ would be better for long tours
If you dont have a problem with the XJ being like 30kg heavier its a good choice
You could also take the Suzuki GSR 750
