This Toyota Mini Van Embodies Drifting Perfectly

I decided to head out to my “local” drift event for the first time. I put “local” in quotation marks, because the event host is “Boise Drift”, and I live in Boise,Idaho. However, due to the unwillingness of any closer places and the lack of tracks in Idaho, the events are held 2 hours away from me, in Twin Falls,Idaho.

Now, I had heard of the man and the van before. I had seen pictures, but nothing is quite as intriguing as watching it in real life. It is quite the site to behold: A heap of what used to be a complete Toyota Previa, that now has missing doors and a chopped exhaust getting whipped around a race track sideways. It was incredibly exciting to watch in person. Even if you went to drift events every day, this is NOT something you would see every day!

To me, this van is the embodiment of drifting as a whole. It’s a hobby that really anyone, with just about any THING can get in to. He’s out to prove that you don’t need to have a lot of money to have fun with this sport. You don’t have to have the ideal vehicle or ideal modifications. You don’t need a turbo, you don’t need steering mods or camber…or maybe he’s not. Maybe he’s just out there enjoying himself, which again, perfectly represents what drifting is all about.
