Thunderbolt (1995), sucks?Movie Review.

So today for the first time i saw the 1995 movie Thunderbolt, with Jackie Chan as a race car driver.
What bothers me the most, among the sea of JDM pearls, S13,S14, Supra, Integra, you name it, it’s there; is the ridicule. Amongst all cars, the awd gem, NSX spins out on a wet track while rwd cars skip on happily.
Also, the crashes, oh good lord. Spins, full frontal decapitations, cars flying on top of one another, explosions, any ridiculous crash, it’s there. Imagine, you spin out, a guy crashes your front end, thus removing your engine, trans, fenders, subframe, everything (oddly, no explosion)
Chan drives a Mitsubishi GTO after crashing his third gen Lancer, all against a black (yeah, the bad guy drives a black car) R32 Skyline.
Amidst the japs are a few Euro gems like the E30 BMW, or the E36 BMW who are butchered in the crashes.
All the plot is about the guy in the R32 kidnapping Chan’s sister, Chan being a mechanic/racecar driver, and personall it’s not as interesting as the race part.
The movie however, should be stated as a commedy, or a tragedy because of the crashes, or all the innocent cars trashed to pieces.
