The Cars at Japan's Nikko Circuit Open Drift Day

Earlier on in the year when I started my Japanese drift adventure, I was lucky enough to get invited down to Nikko Circuit. I was transported in the best way possible. In a drift car, which was in the back of a truck as it wasn’t road legal. I literally sat in this fully stripped out chaser in a completely enclosed truck with a sh*tload of Japanese snacks. Life was good.

Anyway I’ll tell that story at a later date, with pictures and videos. YAAAAAAY!!! Here are some photos of the cars that I found during this event, from street cars all the way up to Formula D machines. Everyone was split up into different groups (Beginner, Intermediate, D1/FormulaD/Pro) which I will attach with the images of the cars.

The next set of photos are the cars, some new, drifting on the track from various different corners. It’s a lot harder than you think to get clear shots while drifting round corners, however I managed to get away with it. Just imagine the roaring sound of a 1/2JZ, SR20, RB20/25 while looking at the next set of photos.

180SX going for the last corner, if you hit this corner correctly you can 3 wheel it
