Do you guys know that we in italy consider Alfa Romeos like mafia cars?

In the Golden Age of Alfa Romeo in fact those cars where the weapon of choice for all the crimes (expecially bank robberies) and crime organizations and the cars were so fast even the police started using them in fact there was a way of speech saying “You can only catch an Alfa Romeo with another Alfa Romeo”.In some cities between the old people this stereotype is still alive, I laugh everytime i friend of mine (who drives a 164) tells me about the old people staring at him passing by and suddenly walk away a looking scared. The italian petrolheads community still jokes about this in fact if you own an Alfa Romeo they’re gonna ironically considering you a mafia boy.
So if you ever drive an Alfa Romeo in the streets of italy and ask yourself “why people stares at me terrified?” Now you know why

Say goodbye to your kneecaps, we know where you live. We told you to keep your mouth shut about this. Just joking, not really with the mafia. Or am I?

in my country, the police used to have Alfa Romeos as police cars. people used to be afraid of Alfa Romeo because of that, especially white Giulia or Alfetta as it was usually used as unmarked police cars.

Errore comune, me l’hanno chiesto ovunque. E no, non sono figlio di Paolo, peccato, perché sarei il re dei social

I don’t understand why the police even bothered to change their cars into alfas, because they’ll break down anyway, so what’s the point. Even if they do get away the next time they see the criminals it will be by the side of the road with the hood/bonet of the car open

Well history tells us Alfa Romeos don’t break down so often as you may think considering also the fact some Alfas raced in rallyes
