Car won't shift into 4th gear

I have a 1999 Mustang GT with a manual transmission. Everything worked fine with it until i changed my transmission fluid and put on a Steeda Short Throw Shifter today. Now it won’t shift into 4th gear at all, but all of the other gears work fine. When you try to shift it into 4th, it makes a loud grinding noise and refuses to completely engage. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is?

Have to tried double declutch? Could be that the throw is too shirt and cheesed the synchro….. Or you have alignment issues.

I’m hoping that it is just the screw stopper thing that limits the distance that the shiftercan move. When i set it, there was plenty of room for it to go into gear but it might have moved so I have to check. I hope it’s nothing more than that.

I fixed it everyone! When i set the stopper screw at 4th, it mustve not been in 4th all the way so all i had to do was loosen it.
