I need help! My handbrake is stuck.

This morning when I started driving my car I realized the handbrake is frozen. The distance between my home and school isn’t very long and we have quite a lot of snow on the road so I decided to drive it anyway (yes, I know that was stupid and dangerous but I was being as careful as I can and managed to keep the car stable).

So any tips and tricks how to free the hand brake? I don’t want to kill my studded tires and I don’t want to crash my car either.
