Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound is great for removing light oxidation. Clay is more for paint imperfections, like that you can feel but not see. For clay, I reccomend Griot’s Garage paint cleaning clay, as it is a very good value, and make sure you have a quick detailer as a lubricant. If the compound doesn’t work, look at Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze paint cleaners (light, medium, and heavy cuts).

i will save money and try meguiar’s ultimate compound, i’m not sure if the paint have imperfections (but being a 15 years old car it could have), at first i could fix for a time with wax, but lately it’s getting worse
i never had seen Griot’s garage products where i live so i need to do some research

thanks for your answer

You can get a clay bar on its own and use lots of soapy water as a lubricant. Meguiars ultimate compound works really well and meguiars gold class wax will help keep it looking good. An electric polisher will make life a lot easier and stick to a small area at a time.

i will try ultimate compound since it’s cheaper and looks easier to use than clay bar, but don’t have electric polisher, so i will buy meguiar’s aplicator pads to do the job
and if i can afford, look for the wax

thanks for your answer :)
